History
At the Synergy Schools Federation, our History curriculum aims to ignite children’s curiosity about the past in Britain and the wider world.
Through finding out about how and why the world, our country, culture and local community have developed over time, children understand how the past influences the present. Through a detailed study of key knowledge from different historical periods, pupils will develop historical skills and concepts such as chronological understanding, continuity and change, cause and consequence, similarity and difference.
Our whole curriculum is shaped by our school vision which aims to enable all children to flourish to become the very best version of themselves that they can possibly be. Whilst learning about the past, we aim to create inquisitive minds to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and judgement.
